We invited the public to share their gratitude on Facebook and Instagram. Here's what they said.

We invited the public to say Thank You to UK nurses. 1000s of people responded. We thought you might like to read their messages of support for the work you're doing on the Coronavirus front line.

This is the invitation we sent out:

"This is your chance to say thank you to all the nurses and health workers bravely working to fight Covid-19 and keep everyone else safe during this time. Share your gratitude in the comments below and we'll let our audience of 100,000 nurses know we're all thinking of them."
