Personality Disorder Service offering DBT interventions.
New Dawn Ward is an 18-bed specialist Tier 4 Personality Disorder service. Women can be admitted to New Dawn if they have a diagnosis of personality disorder, exhibit self-harming behaviour and are able to accept the need for help. Service users can be informal or detained under the mental Health Act.
Personality Disorder Intensive Support Service for Women.
Upping Ward is an Intensive Support Service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex mental health needs. The service pathway provides a robust programme of care for women with challenging, high risk behaviour who experience difficulties engaging with therapeutic programmes. The aim here is to meet the needs of these women, who may have had previous inappropriate placements, in a less restrictive setting.

Acute Service for Women.
Hooper Ward is Cygnet Hospital Beckton’s 12 bed acute mental health service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
PICU Service for Women.
Cygnet Hospital Beckton’s brand new PICU for women is now open and accepting referrals. The 12-bed ward accepts emergency and crisis admissions from all service types.
