Bindu Jacob

Deputy Manager

“I work with a wonderful team at Norfolk House and I get great job satisfaction from seeing our team providing the great standard of care that our residents deserve. We strive to provide fulfilling lives for residents – so when I see residents are happy, it makes me happy too. What’s great about working for Care UK is that they enable you to take your career in different directions, depending on your interests. I’m a registered nurse but have been able to develop to deputy manager, and I’ve had the opportunity to manage the home too.”

Adrienn Arpas

Lifestyle Lead

“In 2020 I joined Norfolk House as a Care Assistant, I was delighted to then be given the opportunity to continue on as a Lifestyle Lead. I had a variety of jobs before joining Care UK, but felt I would like to help people more, and make a difference in their lives. Whilst working in the home I love to hear residents life stories, and to see them happy and feeling fulfilled.”

Amanda Law

Business Administrator

“Before joining the team at Norfolk House in late 2017, I was HR Administrator at Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon. I’ve also worked for British Airways running their graduate training programme. I’m no stranger to multi-tasking, which is an advantage in this job, which is very varied and has lots of different responsibilities. I love the fact that no two days are the same, and I’m working in such a great team. It’s a privilege to work at Norfolk House. One of the best aspects of working here is getting to chat to the residents. It’s a great feeling when a resident comes and sits in the office and puts the world to rights.”

Amrita Jhengree

Head Housekeeper

“I first joined Care UK as I was keen to work for a company where I could make a real difference. I had previously worked in childcare and in another organisation helping the elderly, and wanted to continue working in a caring field. Being the head housekeeper in the home requires a very good understanding of company and government guidance. As well as a desire to deliver high standards. My favourite aspect of working in the home is being able to have a chat with the residents as they relax in our communal areas. Every day, I look forward to connecting with residents and making a difference in their lives. I am looking forward to continuing to deliver for our residents and, with good teamwork and engagement, work towards our home being ‘Outstanding’.”

Werena Brophy

Receptionist

“I’ve always wanted to make a difference to people’s lives, and working for Care UK in this role enables me to do just that. I also really enjoy the direct contact I have every day with local people as well as with residents and their families. I’ve been working for Care UK since 2011 and by far the best reward of working here is seeing the difference you can make to others’ lives – even the smallest gesture can make a resident happy and getting a smile from them in return makes my day.”
