Our Home Manager, Heidi Williams, is supported by a leadership team, comprising leads in care, maintenance, housekeeping, catering and lifestyle coordination.
There are a variety of care home jobs and nursing home jobs available within Anning House Care Home in Weymouth; we all work together to provide the best care for our residents.
The Registered General Nurses (RGNs) employed at Anning House Care Home by Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.
At Anning House Care Home, we also have jobs for mental health nurses (RMNs), who support residents with more complex needs or greater dependency levels. Because we offer nursing dementia care, your mental health nurse expertise will be valuable for residents requiring an understanding of dementia and mental health.
Nurses working at Care UK care homes provide clinical nursing to residents including medication management, infection prevention and control, including wound care and catheter management. They also develop tailored care plans for individualised care of residents. We use Waterlow and MUST clinical assessment tools to support our work.
We also offer opportunities for newly qualified nurses.
Our hardworking care assistants always keep individuals and their families at the heart of the care they provide. They work with the families to shape the care that each resident receives, from the food they’re served to the activities and experiences they want to do – even the ways they prefer to keep in touch with their friends and family.
Clinical leads oversee the nursing team and are responsible for delivering the individual care plans. They deputise for the management team and work with local GPs and other healthcare professionals to maintain the best quality of care for residents.
With a proven ability to lead and supervise others, team leaders work alongside care assistants to support residents with their daily needs. Ideally with an NVQ level 3 in health and social care, or with a desire to achieve this, team leaders will carry out risk assessments, administer and record medication requirements and lead the care assistants on a day to day basis.
Our dedicated lifestyles teams work hard to organise a range of activities and events at our home. From gardening and baking to quizzes, music sessions and even live entertainment. Above all, we get to know each resident to make sure our activities are tailored to suit their interests and hobbies.

Here is what he has to say about his time at Care UK:
“As Colleague Voice, I have attended a conference last year in Gatwick which 1 was pushed outside my comfort zone (as I was solo travelling which is generally a fear of mine!) and 2 I have really helped my fellow colleagues with raising feedback and way to better support the home. I thoroughly enjoy this role!“ - Kallum Chamberlain, Colleague Voice’s Champion

Anning House is set in a peaceful and highly desirable residential area in Weymouth. The home is close to nearby public transport making it an easy location to get to. If taking public transport the Care Home is next to the Holy Trinity School on Cross Road and the bus stops just up the road from there.
There is ample parking at the onsite car park so parking is not an issue and there is disabled access on site. As it is a seaside town there are lots of restaurants, entertainment, local shops and attractions nearby.
Here’s what Heidi has to say about her decision to join Care UK as our Home Manager:
“I decided to join Anning House because I wanted to be part of a well-respected larger company that was part of the wider community where I live.
"As a General Manager it’s important that I have empathy, and am able to listen and lead by example. I always want to be a good role model, and empower my team and others, treating everyone with respect. I went into nursing to make a difference; this can be a big impact or just the little things that make a difference to someone’s life. I’m still incredibly proud and happy to be able to continue to do this in my career every day.
"Although I have a busy role at work, I like to keep busy outside of work too - I love supporting my husband when he’s playing in his band, going to nice restaurants to eat, entertaining family and friends at home, and going to the theatre, especially to see musicals.”
