"Thanks to your efforts, you have given me a chance to live life and enjoy it too. I have gained confidence in myself and my abilities."
Laura, Suffolk
Many of our patients have been in NHS care for many years and have had no social interaction or experience of living independently during that time. Our goal is to deliver rehabilitation and support to prevent service users from falling back into unhealthy habits and routines.
We provide person-centred care for each of our service users. We are knowledgeable about eating disorders and, as well as providing care and support to each service user, our staff are able to share and communicate their knowledge with families and other healthcare professionals and our partner agencies (NHS Trusts, and other referring bodies).
Our services bring together teams of health and social care professionals - nurses, GP, occupational therapists, healthcare assistants and a psychologist.
Bramacare Nursing jobs & pay
Each service user is appointed a Key Nurse. Within your nursing job it will be your duty to work with an individual to design and develop their own person-centred care plan. You’ll be expected to deliver an integrated and holistic approach to their treatment.
Our nurses (we have RMN jobs and RGN jobs) assess the needs of service users, plan, implement and evaluate the care given to a group of clients experiencing medical and mental health problems.
As a registered nurse with Bramacare you’ll lead patient feedback, ensure CPA and HONOS is monitored, and that good communication with your team members and the registered care manager is carried out.

Bramacare provides employees with an exciting environment that provides inpatient care to acutely unwell adults. All staff work as part of a multidisciplinary team who share knowledge and experience.
Patient-to-staff ratio
Our homes are composed of small teams. So you will enjoy the intimacy of care that you’ll be providing.
Patient understanding
Many of our service users are with us for a long time. This means you will be able to get to know them well, and have the satisfaction of witnessing their progress as a result of the care you provide.
Autonomy and impact
Teams work to agreed short to medium term and long term objectives derived from the clinical services plan. Within this plan team members can enjoy a good degree of autonomy and see the positive impact of their effort and skills.
Career development at Bramacare
We believe strongly in supporting all staff with good experiential learning, regular supervision, access to training and a continuous programme of professional development.
We have a strong focus on staff well-being and support and invest in our workforce to provide work-place stability, consistency and a healthy, safe professional group.
You will be given training to help you further your understanding of the disorders you are helping people overcome.
We provide Service Specific Training to cover education around eating disorders and disordered eating. External professionals are invited in to bring fresh ideas from psychologists, dieticians, pharmacists and medical officers.
It is the intention of Bramacare that staff will receive training to deal with any specific conditions or disorders within the house to enable a high quality of care provision to all service users, and to support staff in their own personal development.
It is our commitment to offer minimum NVQ2 training to all our support staff, practitioner courses to our clinical staff, minimum NVQ4 to our administrative staff and minimum NVQ5 to our management staff.
Support and wellbeing
The wellbeing and professional career of our staff members is monitored with a quarterly service review called ‘Professional Quality of Life Scale’.
A staff survey is designed to measure stress levels and wellbeing at work. In addition to that survey, all staff members are provided with the FSP04 survey (from QCS) which measures the outcomes of their opinion in the same five areas that CQC carries out its inspections: is the service safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Employees are provided with annual appraisals with the Registered Care Manager. We provide clinical supervision groups every eight weeks with the psychologist and 1:1 supervision on a monthly basis with the Registered Care Manager.
