Director of Clinical Services

Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
Salary: £55,000

We are seeking a Director of Clinical Services to lead and inspire a dedicated team in a specialist 32-bed locked service providing care for men with mental health needs and dementia. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of clinical care, ensuring the highest standards of therapeutic and person-centred support.

The Role:

  • As Director of Clinical Services, you will:
    Provide strong clinical leadership, overseeing two ward managers and a skilled multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ensure high-quality clinical and therapeutic care in line with statutory regulations and quality standards.
  • Support the Hospital Director in strategic planning and operational management.
  • Drive continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and key performance targets.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that supports service users in achieving their goals.
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and compassion.
What We're Looking For:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Proven experience in mental health and dementia care, ideally in a secure setting.
  • 4-5 years of management experience in a clinical leadership role.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage compliance with statutory regulations and quality standards.
  • Passion for delivering person-centred care and driving service improvements.
