We are seeking a resourceful and proactive Social Worker to join our dynamic Children Looked After (CLA) team in Slough. What you will do:

* Undertake statutory duties for looked after children, including thorough assessments, care planning, and reviews.

* Maintain precise and comprehensive records and case files, adhering to professional standards.

* Foster strong relationships with children, their families, foster carers, and other engaged professionals.

* Conduct regular, insightful visits to children and young people to assess their wellbeing and progress.

* Contribute meaningfully to child protection conferences, looked after children reviews, and court proceedings.

* Champion the needs and wishes of children, ensuring their voices are heard and central to decision-making.

* Coordinate multi-agency support to cater to the comprehensive needs of children, including education and health.

* Guide children as they prepare to leave care, promoting independence and smooth transitions.

* Adhere to legal frameworks and local policies designed to safeguard children and promote permanency.

* Engage in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development to enhance your practice.
