We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire.
HMP Stafford has a capacity of 741 males.
Hours
This role is 37.5 hours per week, night nurse role to include working shifts patterns With a requirement for a day shift on rotation for ongoing professional development and support.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £34,543 - £42,045 depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary:
- You will be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Stafford by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care
- Be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency
- Duties to include IV administration of medication, administration of controlled drugs, palliative care including syringe drivers, managing complex patients working alongside a paramedic in response to attending emergencies.

Qualifications required:
- NMC registered - (NMC)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding
