Social Worker - Assessment Team

Location: Carmarthen, Dyfed, SA31 1JP

Pay Rate: £38.15 per hour

What you will do:

* Conduct detailed and timely social care assessments to understand the needs of children and families, identifying strengths and risks to achieve clear, measurable outcomes.

* Foster empowering, professional relationships with children, young people, and families to encourage positive changes.

* Produce comprehensive, child-focused reports and care plans for various forums, including court proceedings.

* Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to coordinate effective support and resources.

* Keep accurate records and manage casework in line with relevant legislation and local policies.

* Participate actively in team meetings, supervision sessions, and continuous professional development activities.

Candidate Requirements:

* Be a qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.

* Show proven experience in conducting social care assessments with children and family services.

* Have a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation.

* Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

* Possess excellent communication and report-writing skills.

* Commit to promoting anti-discriminatory practice and ensuring client confidentiality.

* Be willing to travel within the Carmarthenshire area as needed.
