What you will do:

* Provide a professional social work service to children in need and their families in line with the Children Act.

* Undertake assessments and enquiries for children potentially at risk of significant harm.

* Collaborate with management and legal teams to apply for Orders under the Children Act to safeguard children.

* Work flexibly in a variety of settings, including at the office, service users' homes, or other suitable locations.

* Prepare high-standard written reports for various settings, including court proceedings, and represent the Local Authority.

* Maintain client records meeting statutory and departmental standards.

* Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, statutory reviews, and team meetings, upholding a professional demeanour.

* Advocate for clients and liaise effectively with other agencies, maintaining compliance with departmental, council, and government policies.

* Provide direct support to service users, drawing on an extensive toolkit of social work knowledge and techniques.

* Take part in the planning and delivery of services, ensuring the welfare and safety of children and young people are paramount.
