What you will do:

- Carry out comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and potential risks.

- Design, implement, and periodically review care plans in accordance with statutory requirements.

- Conduct child protection investigations and apply suitable interventions to ensure the safeguarding of children.

- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to foster positive outcomes for children and families.

- Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports for both meetings and court proceedings when necessary.

- Manage a varied caseload while keeping accurate and timely records of interactions and plans.

- Actively participate in multi-agency meetings, including case conferences and reviews, to contribute to the collective goal of supporting children.

- Stay informed with the latest legislation, guidance, and best practice in social work.

- Engage in regular supervision and training, and contribute to the development of the team.

- Uphold the child's wellbeing and voice in all matters related to social work practices.
