Social Worker - Assessment Team | Saint Austell, UK | £35.37 Hourly | Ongoing Opportunity (Full-time/Part-time)
We are excited to offer a fantastic locum opportunity for a Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in sunny Saint Austell . This ongoing role is flexible, offering full-time or part-time hours to suit your schedule. What You Will Do:
* Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough social work assessments to determine the needs of children and families.
* Child in Need Plans: Develop, manage, and review child in need plans, ensuring effective and responsive interventions.
* ICPC Progression: Progress cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) when appropriate, ensuring timely interventions.
* Joint Investigations: Collaborate with other professionals on joint investigations to safeguard vulnerable children and families.
* Signs of Safety Model: Implement the Signs of Safety model in practice to ensure a child-centred, strengths-based approach.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, clear, and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in assessment-based social work , particularly in child protection and child in need plans.
* Familiarity with joint investigations and Achieving Best Evidence (ABE) training is preferred.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety model implementation.
* Driving licence and access to transport are necessary (Cornwall Council pool cars are available).
* The role is initially for three months , with the possibility of extension.
