Hourly Pay: £15.50 - £16.40
Location: Peacehaven
Night Shift: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays | 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team, supporting a paediatric client with a brain injury. Due to the nature of the care package, we are seeking a female Care Assistant, as this role requires support with personal care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.
About the Client:
Our client is a paediatric individual with brain damage, resulting in complex care needs. We are looking for a Care Assistant who is comfortable with manual handling, as our client requires hoisting to and from equipment each day. While they have some understanding of verbal communication, they prefer supplementary methods such as Makaton or BSL. Experience with these communication methods is not required, but it would be beneficial. With a cheerful disposition, they enjoy calm activities like watching television and engaging in gentle exercises such as stretching or rolling on floor mats. Providing the care they deserve requires patience, flexibility, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver personalised support to our client.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work the specified hours.
- Moving & Handling.
