Job Description:

What you will do:

- Triage and assess incoming referrals regarding children who may be at risk of harm.

- Gather and analyse information from multiple agencies to inform decisions on the level of risk and need.

- Make informed recommendations on next steps, including thresholds for statutory intervention.

- Liaise with professionals across agencies to ensure accurate and relevant information sharing.

- Ensure all decisions are child-focused, evidence-based, and in line with current legislation and policy.

- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case recordings.

- Contribute to the development of effective safeguarding responses and plans.

- Participate in strategy discussions and MASH meetings.

- Work in accordance with local authority safeguarding procedures and statutory frameworks such as Working Together to Safeguard Children and the Children Act Apply.

Requirements:

- Social Work qualification (Degree or Diploma in Social Work).

- Registration with Social Work England.

- Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in children's services.

- Previous experience working within a MASH or child protection setting is highly desirable.

- In-depth knowledge of safeguarding thresholds, risk assessment, and multi-agency working.

- Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

- Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service preferred).

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage complex cases in a timely manner.
