Job Advert Role Description

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and highly skilled Therapist to join an inpatient hospital team for adults with eating disorders in High Wycombe.
We offer a warm and nurturing environment where people receive intensive treatment for eating disorders, including severe and enduring anorexia nervosa. We work together to achieve the best possible outcomes and quality of life for everyone in our care.
Together, we will reflect on, explore, and understand the patient's needs, helping them to develop the skills to build a new positive outlook, confidence, and skills for a positive future. We will work through the process of creating a personal identity outside of their eating disorder as well as helping to build social networks within the community.

We are looking for a Therapist who is passionate about helping us deliver an innovative and person-centred service to patients experiencing an Eating Disorder and significant psychosocial impairment due to eating disorder features. There are training opportunities available, scope to support with relevant research, service development (e.g. teaching and training in and across profession) and supervision opportunities.

The successful candidate will work as part of a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team with adults with eating disorders. You will be expected to deliver group and individual therapy in addition to support and involve families and carers within the patient treatment plan. The caseload will also include ward rounds, multi-disciplinary and professional meetings where you will have the opportunity to work with the wider team and stakeholders. You will be encouraged to develop academic and clinical knowledge in the context of service-related continuing professional development.
