We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs , a category B Prison located in London with a capacity of 1200 males.

Hours:

• This role is a 7 days service:
• Monday - Sunday Nights - 7.30pm - 7.45am

Salary:

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £46868 - £53172per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing
As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions.
• Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
• Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
• Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
• Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework

• Registered nurse - Adult
• Current professional qualification (NMC)
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development
• Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
