Role and Responsibilities:

As a Social Worker in the Children with Disabilities Service, you will:

* Provide statutory social work support to children with disabilities and their families.

* Conduct assessments of children's needs and develop tailored support plans.

* Work within child protection and safeguarding frameworks to ensure the safety of children.

* Manage cases involving care proceedings in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

* Promote the well-being of children by supporting their independence and social inclusion.

* Engage with children, families, and professionals using relationship-based practice.

* Apply the Signs of Safety methodology to address family and professional needs.

* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain professional records.

* Collaborate with health, education, and community partners to deliver comprehensive support.

* Offer emotional and practical support to families, assisting them with the challenges of caring for a child with disabilities.

* Attend multi-agency meetings and legal proceedings as required.

* Ensure the child's voice is central to all decision-making processes.
