Clinical Nurse Specialist - Diabetes
Location - The Princess Grace Hospital, 42-52 Nottingham Pl, London W1U 5NY
This role is a 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday

The Princess Grace Hospital is currently recruiting for a Diabetes Clinical nurse Specialist to join the Team!
As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide diabetic expertise across the Princess Grace Hospital , educating both patients and their families/carers and all clinical staff within HCA. You will work to provide advanced care to patients and be available to support nurses caring for diabetic patients, whilst also leading educational sessions and reviewing current policies alongside other members of the team. The Diabetes Clinical Nurse specialist will be instrumental in training nurses on new, and evidence-based procedures linked to Diabetes. You will be part of the Pan London Diabetes team reporting to the Lead CNS for diabetes
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide education, protocols and competencies on relevant topics
- Provide specialist and practical advice for patients and families leading up to their discharges
- Lead audits to ensure that standards set within policies are maintained.
- Work with multidisciplinary team to provide specialist advice for diabetic patients
- Promote nursing research and developing nursing expertise in diabetes
- Provide education to diabetic patients and staff on managing diabetes.
- Provide on-going development and implement diabetic teachings with the relevant personnel.
- Participate in developing and successfully incorporating national and local guidelines pathways
What you will bring:
- NMC registered RN
- Achieved or working towards a recognised Diabetic related post graduate qualification (Essential).
- Experience as CNS Diabetic
- Experience with Diabetic Post grad qualification
- Experience in clinical management
- Able to analyse data and create reports
- Teaching and Assessing and/or Mentorship qualification
