Senior Practitioner - Children with Disabilities

Location: Birmingham, B6 4DU

Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled social worker to join Birmingham Children's Trust as a Senior Practitioner within the Children with Disabilities team. What you will do:

- Act as the allocated social worker for children with disabilities, ensuring effective assessment, planning, intervention, and review.

- Develop strong partnerships with children and families to achieve positive outcomes.

- Undertake complex casework, including robust risk assessments and tailored support plans.

- Engage in child protection, child in need, and looked-after processes, ensuring compliance with statutory duties.

- Support children's transition into adulthood through effective planning and collaboration.

- Provide practice leadership, supporting and mentoring social workers in your team.

- Offer reflective supervision for newly qualified and less experienced social workers.

- Contribute to practice development, ensuring evidence-based interventions are consistently implemented.

- Ensure compliance with Birmingham Children's Trust policies, procedures, and statutory obligations.

- Develop partnerships with health, education, and other statutory and voluntary agencies, promoting a multi-agency approach.

- Deputise for the Team Manager as needed, ensuring service continuity and leadership.
