We have an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist at our Practice Plus Group Hospital, Emerson's Green and Devizes Hospital.
This role is a full-time position, working between our Emerson's Green and Devizes Hospital with the main hours being between Mon-Friday but there may be some requirement to work on a Saturday.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to our Outpatients Manager, you will be part of a small, forward-looking department with the latest ophthalmic equipment, including IOL Master 700 and the latest edition Humphrey Visual Field Analyser. Specialist areas offered include cataract surgery pathways, age related macular degeneration assessment and treatment pathways and ocular-plastic pathway.
This role is ideal for someone who is keen to develop their skills by working alongside our experienced Ophthalmic Consultants to deliver an outstanding Cataract Service for patients.
We will be able to provide training for our Optometrist to be an integral part of our patient's cataract pathway, to be able provid e a 1 st pre-assessment appointment for patients, as well as to provide follow up and routine appointments for our consultant led elective ophthalmic services.
What we'll look for in you
You will be a GOC registered Optometrist, with:
• experience in the pre and post assessments of patients referred for refractive surgery
• knowledge of ophthalmic surgical care provision and knowledge of Ophthalmic disease
• Be able to independently prescribe and skills to deliver first appointments on a cataract pathway.
