Qualified Social Work Locum - Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub for Children in Shire Hall, UK - £33.30 Hourly, Full Time, Ongoing

What you will do:

* Screening and Triage: Conduct initial assessments of referrals from professionals and the public, ensuring appropriate safeguarding responses.

* Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with partner agencies, including health services, police, and education, to share information and make informed decisions.

* Risk Assessment: Analyse risk factors, prioritising cases that require urgent intervention to protect vulnerable children.

* Decision-Making: Determine the appropriate course of action, including signposting, referrals to early help services, or initiating statutory social work interventions.

* Report Writing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and council policies.

* Safeguarding Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and local safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:

* Social Work England registration as a Qualified Social Worker.

* Experience working in Children's Services, preferably within a MASH, Duty and Assessment, or Safeguarding team.

* Strong knowledge of child protection, safeguarding procedures, and risk assessments.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multi-agency setting.

* Ability to make sound, evidence-based decisions under pressure.
