What You Will Do:

* Support and Supervision: Provide crucial supervision and emotional support to our valuable kinship carers, ensuring the children are well-cared for and fostering regulations are upheld.

* Assessment and Approval: Conduct thorough Form C assessments to evaluate potential kinship carers and ensure all findings are clearly presented to the fostering panels.

* Safeguarding and Compliance: Keep a watchful eye on child welfare, address any safeguarding issues swiftly, and ensure carers meet all necessary legal requirements.

* Training and Development: Facilitate impactful training sessions for kinship carers, strengthening their parenting skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care.

* Case Management: Carefully manage your caseload, maintaining detailed records and writing comprehensive reports.

* Multi-Agency Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse teams including social work colleagues, educational entities, and health services to provide comprehensive support to children in kinship care.

Skills and Qualifications:

* A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England are essential.

* Prior experience in fostering , child protection , or working with looked-after children is highly desirable.

* Proven assessment , analytical , and report-writing skills are a must.

* Understanding of fostering regulations , kinship care policy , and safeguarding procedures is crucial.

* Superior communication skills and relationship-building abilities will serve you well in this rewarding role.
