Care Assistant Position Details:
• Position: Care Assistant
• Hourly Rate: £15.00-£18.00 per hour, plus paid breaks!
• Location: Wimbledon
• Hours per Week: Permanent, full time
• Shifts: Days or nights available, 8am-8pm/8pm-8am
About the care home:
Xealthcare’s highly regarded care provider are now seeking experienced and qualified care assistants to join their ‘outstanding’ and ‘award-winning’ nursing home located in Wimbledon. Offering permanent, full-time contracts to cover day or night shifts.
Our client’s small sized home offers residential, dementia and nursing care for elderly residents. The care assistants and nursing team takes pride in providing a supportive and enjoyable environment where the residents can thrive and enjoy life to the fullest.
Position: Healthcare Assistant
As a healthcare assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our client’s residents. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, administering medication, supporting daily activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our client’s residents and contribute to their health and happiness.
Care assistants who are experienced and trained using medtech and electronic systems is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
• Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility.
• Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
• Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
Requirements:
• Previous experience using medtech/electronic systems
• Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
