Social Worker - Disability Team - Conwy (UK) - £41.01 Hourly - Ongoing - Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join our Disability Team within Conwy's vibrant community. Earning £41.01 per hour, this ongoing assignment offers you the chance to work full time from our office in Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, ensuring high-quality care and support for children and young people with disabilities. What you will do:

* Deliver high-quality social work services to children and young people who are vulnerable or need support due to physical or mental impairments.

* Collaborate with citizens, carers, and families to provide support, fostering independence and resilience.

* Ensure the individual is at the heart of decision-making about their lives and outcomes.

* Complete assessments in line with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act.

* Navigate the barriers faced by children with disabilities in their homes and communities.

* Understand the local authority's duty to disabled individuals and their carers.

* Stay informed about relevant legislation and guidance.

* Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Skills and qualifications required:

* Minimum of three years post-qualification experience and proficiency in technology and software.

* Registration with Social Care Wales.

* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

This position requires candidates to live within a commutable distance to Conwy. The assignment is expected to last around 12 weeks, with the possibility of extension. In order to be considered for an interview, candidates must meet the essential criteria as laid out in the Person Specification.
