What you will do:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with learning disabilities and concurrent mental health or behavioural problems.
* Devise, deliver, and evaluate tailored interventions and care plans, including behaviour therapy and family work.
* Collaborate with schools, social services, and other agencies to ensure holistic care for your clients.
* Provide expert nursing and behavioural guidance, consultation, and support to team members and professionals from other sectors.
* Manage your own caseload, ensuring accurate record-keeping and adherence to best practices.
* Engage in therapeutic relationships with children, young people, and their families, involving them in care delivery.
* Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical audits.
* Train and mentor student nurses, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance team skills.
