Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services for a Psychologist to join the multidisciplinary team within an independent mental health hospital in Hook, Hampshire. The hospital supports the NHS by providing low secure services and specialist learning disability and autism spectrum support for both male and female patients. We also offer adult and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) across our single-person, bespoke therapeutic placements (BTPs).

As a Registered Psychologist you will

• Identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within the given field of therapy, in order to promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of clients; liaising with family and carers.

• Receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned patients using appropriate and relevant treatments, activities and interventions

• Facilitates individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the patient, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the patients therapy plan

• Manages an assigned caseload within agreed timescales ensuring regular interaction and communication with patients, professional colleagues and clinical staff

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the form of case notes, case files, clinical reports, computerised information systems and other associated documentation presenting and sharing relevant information and knowledge concerning assigned patients with professional and clinical colleagues at regular MDT meetings

• Leads and co-ordinates professional and clinical colleagues, providing psychotherapeutic advice and guidance, and assists with the analysis of statistical data and information for research and audit purposes

Knowledge / Education / Skills

You must hold HCPC registration

Experience

The role holder will have professional practice experience gained within their chosen field of therapy.

This is a full time permanent post and offers a salary of £48,250 - £58,250 per annum
