What you will do:
* Provide expert pharmaceutical care to patients, addressing their diverse needs within Weymouth Street Hospital and outpatient clinics on Harley Street.
* Deliver a comprehensive ward-based clinical service, directly impacting patient treatment and outcomes.
* Influence prescribing practices and contribute to medicines management to optimize hospital pharmacy operations.
* Direct the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications to ensure a high-quality service.
* Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring patient and staff safety.
* Engage in financial management tasks such as maintaining journals and reconciling invoices.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards, enhancing the quality of pharmacy services.
* Participate in audits and improve departmental practices through refined standard operating procedures.
* Support the implementation and monitoring of national guidelines under the guidance of the Chief Pharmacist.
The applicant should meet the following criteria:
* Registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (any existing or pending Fitness to Practice issues must be declared on application)
* Postgraduate Diploma relevant to hospital pharmacy practice is desirable but not essential
* At least 2 years of post registration experience
* Clinical pharmacy experience in a secondary acute setting, or proven ability to transfer clinical skills into an acute setting
