What you will do:

* Provide expert guidance in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of in-patients at nutritional risk or requiring therapeutic diets, focusing specifically on nutrition support and oncology management at Colchester Hospital.

* Lead dietetic initiatives at case conferences and within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care.

* Support colleagues in developing and auditing services within your specialist areas, promoting continuous improvement in dietetic practice.

* Offer education and training to healthcare professionals, enhancing the nutritional and dietary care provided by your peers and interdisciplinary colleagues.

* Manage a diverse caseload in community settings, serving outpatients, care homes, and homebound patients to ensure comprehensive patient care.

* Take charge of home enteral feeding cases, ensuring optimal nutritional support for complex conditions.

* Drive projects like the MUST and Food First initiatives, advocating for cost-effective prescribing practices in nutritional support.

As the ideal candidate, you will need to be HCPC registered with at least two years of experience, preferably have access to a car for community visits.
