Cardiac Scrub Theatre Practitioner
The Wellington Hospital
Full time 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 4 or 5 days a week, Monday-Saturday.

We are looking for a Scrub Theatre Practitioner with strong Cardiac experience to join our Theatre department at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated "Good" by the CQC. The theatres across our facilities, provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advance equipment and technology is second to none.

The Wellington Hospital provides the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care. They have 11 Theatres across 3 buildings covering multiple surgical specialties. Successful candidates will be part of a large theatre team of colleagues, experienced professionals. The Wellington Hospital has a successful track record of career progression, offering support, and development to those seeking to aspire higher or widen their knowledge. Including offer a Surgical First Assistant Course.

As a Theatre Practitioner, you will cover both Theatres and Cardiac Cath Labs. You will support individuals and teams to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care that is responsive to the needs of our patients.

What you'll bring:

  • NMC Pin / HCPC Registration
  • Strong Cardiac experience
  • Team Player
  • Confident to set up theatres, run theatre lists and ask questions.
  • To ensure safety for patients and colleagues
  • Working as a team member in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives
