We are seeking talented and experienced NMC registered nurses who are keen to progress their career and feel that they have the potential management and leadership capability demanded by the role of Deputy Ward Manager.

The successful applicants will assist with the clinical development of the ward through managing staff and monitoring clinical standards and practice. They will work closely with the Ward Manager to achieve ward targets and deliver high quality patient care.

As Deputy Ward Manager, your role will be to co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment. Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care. Manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within a ward or unit, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards.

To be successful as Deputy Ward Manager:
- A relevant healthcare qualification, preferably a qualified mental health nurse.
- At Least 2 years post qualifying experience.

Desirable:
- Previous experience of working within in an acute admissions environment.

About the Hospital

Priory Hospital Dorking is an 18 acute male admission hospital with a 3 bed rehabilitation and recovery service for women with complex mental health needs.

Our comprehensive multi-disciplinary team pride our selves on our ability to work both with enduring mental illness but also those who struggle with regulating emotions, acts of impulsivity and managing relationships.

The hospital is set in picturesque grounds overlooking the Surrey Hills and has extensive facilities including onsite Gym, Purpose Built OT Kitchen aswell as Occupational Facililties. You will also have free access to the onsite gym facilities.
