Job Description
Clinical Specialist Radiographer - Radiotherapy
Location: Manchester, The Christie Private Clinic
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: 8.00am - 17.30pm (requirement for some bank holiday/weekend working)

Salary: Up to £49,245 dependent on experience
We're looking for a Clinical Specialist Radiographer within our Radiotherapy team at The Christie Private Clinic, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.
Duties & responsibilities:
- To predominantly work on the treatment unit, with potential involvement in pre-treatment areas as required, carrying out accurate and consistent treatment preparation and delivery as well as administration aspects; and to assist in maintaining and developing the radiotherapy service.
- Maintain exemplary professional standards and quality assurance in all aspects of patient care.
- Operate radiotherapy equipment in accordance with operational procedures, ensuring routine quality assurance procedures are carried out.
- Be responsible for the accurate administration of radiotherapy treatments, including accurate documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of systems of work, quality assurance procedures and protocols.
- Ensure all equipment faults and malfunctions are recorded and reported in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
What you'll bring:
- BSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
- HCPC Registration
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic patient management systems and record and verify systems
- Knowledge of pre-treatment procedures, including CT scanning, planning and Mould Room desirable
- Experience of scanning and treatment of stereotactic patients desirable
- Experience with advanced treatment techniques i.e. SRS, Gating, SABR desirable
- Experience of the private sector desirable
- Experience in treatment administration, to include bookings and pre-treatment plan checks desirable
