We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Kirkham , a category D Prison located in Kirkham, Preston.
The prison has it s own Healthcare department where you will be based and the primary care team consists of a team of 10
HMP Kirkham is a capacity of 700 males.

The role is a part time role working 29.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday, there are various shifts covering:
- Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm or 10.30am - 7pm
- Friday 8am - 4.30pm
- Weekends 8am - 12noon - 1 weekend in 4
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £33232 - £4021 1 pro rota - d epending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Work within a multi-disciplinary tea m to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions
- Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
- Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications required
- Registered nurse - Adult NMC
- Ideally experience with Long Term Conditions
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
