We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency & Urgent Care (Paramedic or Nurse) join our Primary Care team at HMP Bullingdon , a category B p rison located located near Bicester. HMP Bullingdon is a male prison with operational capacity of around 1,100.
This would suit a qualified Paramedic or Emergency Care Nurse, as you will be responding to emergency and urgent care situations. You might have worked as a Paramedic, Primary Care, or in A&E, delivering emergency and urgent care.
Hours
37.5 hours a week. The site currently offers variety of shifts patterns, including 07:30 - 17:30, 07:30 - 19:30, night shifts, and weekends / bank holidays.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £47,250 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As our new Emergency and Urgent Care - Paramedic or Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- You'll be playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care
- Working as part of a team of primary care nurses, and delivering care to patients both within the healthcare centre and on the wings/ blocks.
- Thrives on a challenge to provide high-quality emergency care and minor injury treatment to patients in both primary care and acute care needs in a prison setting
- Performing procedures such as suturing, IV access, haemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention.

Qualifications required
- Be a qualified Paramedic or Nurse - RGN, Primary Care Nurse, A&E Nurse
- Have professional registration - NMC or HCPC
- Proven Experience in either: Accident and Emergency, primary care environments or minor injuries/illness
- Excellent communication skills
- Non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Be flexible with shifts and hours worked
- Ideally, have experience within a hospital, community or prison environment
