We are looking for a dynamic Principal Social Worker and Approved Mental Health Professional to join an esteemed Safeguarding and Children's Service team in lovely Northampton. What you will do:

- Deliver and provide social work services beyond standard hours to ensure the welfare and protection of young people and vulnerable adults.

- Provide the Approved Mental Health Professional service outside regular day service hours, meeting legal and statutory obligations.

- Participate in team management to achieve service objectives and performance targets as per social service legislation.

- Handle emergency social work tasks, prioritising needs and resources to secure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.

- Engage in the duty rota and be available for team and professional meetings.

- Respond to referrals efficiently, prioritising actions to assist those most in need.

- Collaborate effectively with multiagency partners, including Police and Health services.

- Maintain autonomy in decision-making, including chairing strategy meetings.

- Keep up-to-date with legislation and procedures to safeguard adults and young people.

- Ensure thorough documentation of all work and reports for transparency and accountability.

- Supervise Family Support Workers and mentor their development.

- Support health, safety, and welfare policies diligently.

- Assist the Team Manager in managing complaints and maintaining quality assurance systems.
