Job Description

Pulse are looking for registered highly motivated and talented Band 6 Paediatric Intensive Care Nurses to join well renowned agency.

At Pulse, we understand that being a Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse can be challenging. We want to take the hassle out of everything that can feel like a chore, such as booking shifts, completing timesheets, and feeling there's a lack of stability. We're here to help PICU Nurses like you, navigate difficult situations and provide support through tough times, so you can focus on the job you love doing.

Get the freedom to work how you want, when you want with our flexible shifts available from Monday through to Sunday. With Pulse you can plan ahead with our block bookings, available to book up to 3 months in advance.

By working with Pulse, you are opened to many opportunities across the private sector and the NHS that allow you to be in control your work life to suit your lifestyle and commitments.

We are offering a variety of shift patterns, including the option of full-time equivalent hours, in the Paddington area paying between £26.94 - £35.20 per hour.

Registered Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Actively communicate with the patient's family and loved ones. Communicating assertively with family members to reassure them and provide information about what is happening with the patients is essential.
  • PICU nurses have the primary responsibility of assessing, treating, and monitoring young patients under 18 years old who are presenting acute, serious ailments.
  • PICU nurses must record patient information concisely and accurately because every symptom matters. Paediatric intensive care nurses also answer questions and provide education for caregivers about managing their child's health condition.
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
  • Valid NMC registration
  • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the Scrub Sector
  • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment.
  • Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one.
  • Right to work within the UK - proof will be required.
In return Pulse Nursing will offer you the following benefits:
  • Weekly Pay/Daily Payroll options
  • A range of payment options available: PAYE, PSC/LTD and Umbrella
  • Our online app 'ipoint' allows you to view and book shifts 24/7, helping to manage your availability, view pay rates and pay slips.
  • Access to additional voluntary free high-quality training and development
  • Free uniform
  • First class support and advice from a dedicated team that specialises in your area of expertise
  • Uncapped Recommend a Friend scheme - earn up to £500 per referral
If you feel your expertise is suited to this role, please apply today and our team will be in touch to discuss it with you in more detail.
