Regional Clinical Educator (Ophthalmic theatres)

£45,000 - £50,000 + £2000

Are you an experienced leader in theatres now looking for a new opportunity?

Pusle is working in partnership with an independent service provider specializing in Ophthalmology and Endoscopy services, supporting the NHS.

We are recruiting for a Regional Clinical Educator to work in a state-of-the-art surgical center as a lead in ophthalmics. This is a regional role, that requires travel working across the South - Stevenage to Dorset.

Role Summary

As a Regional Clinical Educator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our workforce is fit for the future. Reporting to the Regional Lead Educator, you'll collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Managers to identify training needs across the region. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering clinical education programs, mentoring new and existing team members.

Main Duties

  • Design and Deliver: Create and implement clinical education programs based on identified training needs.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor to new and existing clinical team members during induction and ongoing training.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clinical colleagues to enhance confidence and competency.
  • Competency Assessment: Assess and sign off on clinical competencies.
Person Specification
  • Qualifications: Current professional healthcare registration (NMC/HCPC).
  • Experience: Significant experience in Ophthalmic Theatre Scrub.
  • Training: Experience designing, delivering, and coordinating training at various levels.
  • Skills: Familiarity with supporting learners in the clinical setting and working across organizational boundaries.
