Staff Nurse - Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (Cath Lab)
Position: Staff Nurse - Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (Cath Lab)
Location: London
Contract: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £40k, with shift enhancements (dependent on experience)
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our client within their Cardiac Catheterisation Lab (Cath Lab) team. As part of this highly skilled department, you'll provide expert care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, contributing to their treatment and recovery.
In this role, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support patients before, during, and after complex cardiac interventions. From preparing and assisting with procedures to monitoring patient vital signs, your contribution will be vital in ensuring the best possible outcomes for those receiving treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a range of cardiac procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, pacemaker insertions, radiofrequency ablations, and TAVIs.
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures such as PICC line and Permcath insertions.
- Provide care during vascular interventions, including Endovascular Aneurysm Repairs (EVAR).
- Deliver continuous patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and helping with any required interventions.
- Work closely with the team to plan and deliver seamless, high-quality care throughout the patient's journey.
- A Registered General Nurse with full NMC registration.
- Previous experience in a Cath Lab environment.
- Strong communication skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
