We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our primary care team at HMP Winchester , a category B Prison located in central Winchester.
HMP Winchester is a Category B Local remand prison located in Central Winchester accommodating approximately 670 male prisoners.
Although the site is close to Winchester city centre there is onsite parking for all staff and it is a short walk from Winchester train station.
Hours
37.5 hours a week working 3 x 12.5 hour shifts plus some weekend work.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £47,250 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
- Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications required
- Qualified Paramedic
- Current professional registration (HCPC)
- Proven post-registration ambulance experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness
