We have an agency opportunity for you to work within the NHS and earn generously whilst working as little or as many hours flexibly.
Within Durham and Darlington, we have a number of hospitals that require experience Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) for inpatient ward & department work. Hours are flexible and can be chosen around your availability, currently we have vacancies to facilitate full time, part time, night and weekend staff.

To apply for the HCA position, you must have:
• At least 1 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (within the last 2 years in the UK) RCN/ITU/A+
• Able to provide 3 references within the last 10 years
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
• Strong communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Experience in Hospital or working within a care environments is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
• Proficient IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
• A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Capability to drive safely between locations, if required for the role.
Key Responsibilities of the HCA:
• Support for nursing teams
• Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals in maintaining their hygiene and overall health.
• Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Follow care plans as outlined by healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and quality care.
• Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately in IT systems.
• Drive to various locations as required to provide care services in the community.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
