Location: London
Employer: Harley Street Health Centre, part of HCA Healthcare UK.
Hours: Part Time 2 days per week, 20 hours per week, within Mon-Fri 8am - 6:30 pm.
Contract: Permanent

We're looking for a Healthcare Assistant, to join our Harley Street Health Centre.

The Harley Street Health Centre, has been established since 1998, and has an exceptional reputation for providing a full range of private patient and corporate healthcare services, including medical testing, health screening and GP appointments. A Team of highly experienced professionals, we are a one stop shop, for primary care and GP needs based from Harley Street London. Rated 'Good' with the Care Quality Commission

As a Healthcare Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Conduct a vast range of blood tests, physical examination for the purpose of health screening,
  • Undertake phlebotomy, spirometry, audiometry, assess urine samples, conduct drugs of abuse screenings, conduct resting electrocardiograms, vision acuity tests, body composition assessments, basic physical examination and other medical tests relevant to training and record clinical compliances accurately.
  • Your role extends to cover sexual health testing and immunisation.
  • Record clinical and patient data onto the medical database system
  • To communicate sensitively with patients and/or carers at times when understanding and level of cooperation may be compromised by age, disability or illness
  • Assisting the house-keeping duties i.e. sharps control, clinical hygiene and stock management
  • Record clinical compliance measures as required by the Clinical Governance and local policies
Successful applicants will need
  • Working towards post qualification certifications or clinical/medical registration
  • In-depth knowledge of the anatomy
  • Able to work independently and unsupervised within the scope and remit of the job responsibilities, once trained
  • Phlebotomy trained,
  • Able to conduct resting electrocardiograms
  • Good organisation and interpersonal skills.
Full training will be provided on specific tests and diagnostics prior to acting independently.
