We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our established healthcare t eam at HMP Full Sutton , a Category A and B men's prison based in the village of Full Sutton in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This site is around a 30 mins drive from York city centre and is easily accessed from the A166 and A1079.The healthcare team supports around 560 male patients with Primary Care, Substance Misuse and Pharmacy Services. Suitable applicants will have either a clinical or operational career background, with strong managerial skills and experience leading a multi-disciplinary team. This is a brand new role where you will be joining an experienced Head of Healthcare.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £56,000 per annum full time equivalent - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Deputy Head of Healthcare, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients by seeking out, listening to and acting on
    feedback so that patient engagement is at the centre of service delivery.
  • You will also provide day to day operational service delivery and data which has integrity, in a timely manner to meet
    commissioner expectations.
  • Deliver non-judgemental, compassionate care within the financial framework that is safe, high quality
    and in line with CQC requirements.
  • This will be achieved through adherence to policies and procedures and compliance with statutory responsibilities whilst driving excellence.

Qualifications required
  • Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification
  • Inclusive leadership approach embedding a culture of continuous progression and innovation
  • Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to influence and deliver information to key partners and stakeholders
  • Experience as a CQC registered manager, or equivalent registered body
  • Experience managing multifaceted budgets
