What you will do:

- Manage a diverse and complex caseload of children in care, ensuring their individual needs are thoroughly assessed and met with diligence.

- Creatively develop and review care plans, pathway plans, and permanency plans, working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure comprehensive support.

- Cultivate strong and trusting relationships with children, young people, and their families, making sure they feel heard and supported.

- Conduct essential statutory visits and robust assessments, and prepare detailed reports for case reviews and court proceedings, painting a full picture of each child's circumstances.

- Collaborate closely with foster carers, residential care staff, and adoption teams to ensure continuity in care and support for each child.

- Stand as an advocate for children's rights by ensuring their voices are central to all decision-making processes.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior social workers, students, and support staff, fostering a supportive and educational environment.

- Uphold and ensure compliance with Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, and safeguarding policies.
