Job Description

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Fostering Recruitment Team to work full time based in Medway.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £45,806 per annum.

Main duties:

* Assess, plan, and use evidence based analytical practice to assess prospective foster carers.

* Contribute to the recruitment of foster carers, with involvement in an active recruitment campaign, being responsible for responding to initial enquiries, undertaking initial visits, and co-housing information sessions.

* Work to a structured time management practice; responding to enquiries, submitting reports, assessments and plans within regulated timescales.

* Contribute to the delivery of a highly effective Children's Care Services, taking responsibility for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision. (This will be dependent upon the complexities of the cases and the post qualification experience of the social worker).

* Maintain accurate written and computerised records, in accordance with agreed procedures and in order to meet legislative responsibilities.

* Contribute to the tracking and monitoring for statistics for collation to Senior Management.

* Actively promote work life balance and flexible working in order to achieve high quality service delivery.

* Actively promote the Council's Fair Access, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and observe the standard of conduct which prevents discrimination taking place.

* Ensure fully compliance with the Health and Safety at Wok, the Council's Health and Safety Policy and all locally agreed safe methods of work.

* At the discretion of the Head of Service, such other activities as may from time to time may be agreed consistent with the nature of the job described above.

Requirements of this Social Worker job:

* A social Work Qualification or equivalent.

* Understanding of relevant legislation.

* Continual professional development.

* Social Work England registered.
