Band 7 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Kettering

Job Type: Part-time/Full-time (2-3 days a week between Monday and Friday)

Contract Duration: ASAP Start - Ongoing

Pay Rate: £30 per hour

What you will do:

- Conduct comprehensive dysphagia assessments and develop care plans focusing on children under one year.

- Deliver specialist speech and language therapy interventions tailored to paediatric patients' communication and swallowing needs.

- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including paediatricians, occupational therapists, and nurses to provide holistic care.

- Contribute to service development by participating in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Offer guidance and support to patients and families, promoting understanding and management of communication and swallowing disorders.

Requirements:

Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Experience:

At least two years of experience in paediatric speech and language therapy, with expertise in dysphagia assessment and care planning for children under one.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Proven competence in dysphagia assessment and management.

- Strong clinical skills in paediatric speech and language therapy.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Familiarity with System One and possession of a Smartcard.

- Transport: Preferably a car driver with access to transport for travel between sites.
