We have an exciting opportunities for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at Heathrow IRC, a Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton.
Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removals centres under one management structure making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.

Hours:

Monday - Sunday - 9am - 5pm based on 37.5 hours per week
The mental health team consists of 9 in the team, working closely substance misuse and physiology team and you will based in the healthcare department

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £42525 - £50400per annum FTE - depending on experience

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • To provide healthcare to patients, promoting health and well-being within the prisoner population
  • We are looking for experienced Mental Health Practitioners, RMN, Social Workers (Mental Health) Recovery practitioners with experience in the Primary care mental health field.
  • Responsible for assessment and caseload management of those referred into Mental health services
  • Working as part of a primary and secondary care integrated model
  • Practitioners will be able to work under their own direction whilst also contributing to group MDT and triage
  • You will support your team to carry out comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options and initiating supportive care plans, working with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team
