We have an exciting opportunity for a Part time Senior Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Lewes, a category B male Prison located in near the centre of the historical town of Lewes, which is just a 5 minute walk away .

S alary

This position is bank and you'll receive an hourly rate of £27.69.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide clinical leadership to small team of paramedics
  • Have an individual approach to all patients, providing triage, minor illness and minor injury assessment
  • Undertake the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's care, within the healthcare centre and on the Wings/ blocks
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, IV access, hemorrhage control, wound care and cardiac & CVA intervention

Qualifications required
  • Qualified Paramedic and registered with the HCPC with post qualification experience
  • ILS training and certificates
  • Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the role
  • Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team
