Main duties of the Speech and Language Therapist:

* Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults presenting with communication (e.g., dysarthria, aphasia) and swallowing disorders (dysphagia)

* Use appropriate diagnostic tools, standardized tests, and observational methods

* Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for patients, considering their medical conditions and goals

Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:

* Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration

* Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist

* At least 2 years' clinical experience, with at least a year of adult acute experience

* Must be dysphagia trained, signed off competencies and able to see patients independently

* Must have established knowledge of assessment and therapeutic interventions for patients with swallowing and communication difficulties
