An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and knowledgeable Locum Educational Psychologist to join our Educational Psychology Service in Bristol. What you will do:

- Write informative, quality Education, Health, Care and Needs Assessments (EHCNA) using existing Bristol EPS processes and templates, ensuring submission by agreed timeframes.

- Provide high-quality and timely professional advice to the Local Authority to facilitate statutory processes within legal frameworks.

- Place parents and young people at the heart of processes to support additional learning needs.

- Deliver work that stakeholders find valuable and effective.

- Champion equality of opportunity at every step.

Requirements:

- Post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology at least a Masters level (if qualified before 2007) or a Doctoral qualification, completed or in progress, and HCPC registration.

- Proven experience in applying psychological knowledge and skills to foster inclusion and development for young people aged 0-25.

- Solid understanding of the UK educational system across mainstream and special school sectors.

- Excellent interpersonal abilities including tact, empathy, strong negotiation, and conflict management skills.

- Independently manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet critical deadlines.

- Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation such as the Equality Act 2010, Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice 2015.

- Demonstrated commitment to equality and diversity.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications or equivalent. Knowledge and compliance with GDPR and data protection standards.

- High-level English language skills, crucial for clear communication with citizens and for conveying complex information.
