What you will do:

* Tend to increasing waiting lists and urgent swallowing referrals, especially those with palliative care needs, providing timely and effective care.

* Deliver specialist speech and language therapy to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.

* Provide guidance and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding communication strategies.

* Conduct assessments and develop targeted therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs.

* Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements for the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:

* Hold a degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy with HCPC registration.

* Demonstrate recent post-qualifying experience as a Speech and Language Therapist within the UK/NHS.

* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.

* Exhibit the ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
