The salary for this permanent Deputy Ward Manager job is £44,000 - £48,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

* Support the Ward Manager in the daily management and oversight of the ward , ensuring efficient operations and adherence to protocols.

* Assist in supervising and managing a team of registered and unregistered staff , fostering a collaborative and effective work environment.

* Promote and implement best practices across the ward , ensuring consistent, high-quality care.

* Facilitate and support service improvements and changes , contributing to the enhancement of care delivery.

* Provide clinical leadership , guiding the service's direction and ensuring alignment with best practices.

* Contribute to the delivery of personalised care , actively participating in service improvement initiatives.

* Collaborate with and support the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) , ensuring integrated, patient-centred care.

* Implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions within the broader care programme, ensuring they are effective and patient-focused.

* Assist the Ward Manager in maintaining regulatory compliance , ensuring that care and treatment meet the required standards.

Requirements of the Deputy Ward Manager:

* Nursing Degree

* Maintain current NMC Registration and meet Revalidation requirements; certified as a Trained Mentor.

* Essential experience in clinical supervision ; additional training in this area is beneficial.

* Demonstrate ongoing Continued Professional Development (CPD) with a clear commitment to advancing professional skills and leadership capabilities.

* Exhibit strong communication skills , both verbal and written.

* Possess solid computer skills and proficiency with relevant software.

* Have experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability services .

* Hold at least 3 years of post-registration experience or equivalent.
